Update on the services provided by ARAS

Dear colleagues, partners, sponsors and friends of ARAS

In light of the current SA Government Directions on working from home and travel, ARAS has temporarily suspended all face-to-face client appointments and information sessions.

We are continuing to provide support to older people, although not open to visitors at our office. We are of course available on our phone line, email and video/teleconferencing.

If you would like to talk with someone about the COVID-19 restrictions and its impact on you or someone you know, I would encourage you to call the COVID-19 Older Persons Support Line on 1800 171 866, 8.30am – 6pm AEST weekdays. The Older Persons COVID-19 Support Line is a joint initiative of COTA Australia, Dementia Australia, National Seniors and Older Persons Advocacy Network (ARAS is the South Australian member) and is supported by funding from the Australian Government.

Please browse our website for information such as brochures, fact sheets on prevention of elder abuse, useful links and information videos. To receive updated information on our service delivery you can also call us on (08) 8232 5377 or 1800 700 600 (toll free) or email us on aras@agedrights.asn.au or check our website.

We look forward to being back in full swing when it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we navigate through this extraordinary situation, together.

Sincerely,
Carolanne Barkla
