ARAS update on the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear colleagues, partners, sponsors and friends of ARAS,

I am writing to provide an update on the impact of COVID-19 on services provided by ARAS.

In line with our civic duty and because staff, volunteers, students, clients and community well-being is our priority, ARAS is modifying its practices.

We are continuing to provide support to older people, however, currently not open to visitors at our office. We are of course available on our phone line, email and video/teleconferencing.

The Commonwealth and State government recommendations are informing our practices, which are being updated regularly.

In light of community concern, government directions, and safety we will be canceling education sessions. The cancellation of events is evolving and I encourage you to check our website for updated information or call us on (08) 8232 5377 or 1800 700 600 or email us on aras@agedrights.asn.au. We look forward to being back in full swing when this public health emergency has passed.

Please browse our website for information, such as brochures, fact sheets and information on COVID-19, prevention of elder abuse, useful links, videos and to receive updated information on our service delivery.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented situation, together.

Sincerely,
Carolanne Barkla
