The Quality Quiz

The Quality Quiz has been designed as an activity to involve consumers in the Continuous Quality Improvement process as required by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency. Come and join in a workshop, obtain the quiz, posters and fact sheets, and learn how to use the quiz in your Continuous Quality Improvement process.

Duty of Care

In-house education session for residential care staff that aims to assist them in balancing residents’ right to choice and involvement in decision making, and staff’s duty of care.

Chemical And Physical Restraint In Residential Care

In-house education session for service providers / residential care staff about legal issues around restraint, informed consent, consultation. Aims to get service providers to look at least restrictive forms of restraint.

Residents’ Rights And Advocacy

In-house education session for residential care staff. Topics covered include the role of advocacy, Charter of Residents’ Rights and Responsibilities, strategies for developing a caring partnership, care plans, aged care standards and accreditation, and complaints handling.

Culturally Appropriate Care

In-house education session for residential care staff covering provision of culturally appropriate care for residents from an Aboriginal or non-English speaking background.

In-house information session on establishing and maintaining a residents and relatives committee.
