  • There are a number of Local, State and Federal Government Departments and Community services to whom those assisting older people can turn to for help or confidential advice.
  • The following list of community resources is provided as a guide as to which government and non-government organisations can help with information on dealing with situations of abuse of older people by someone they should be able to trust eg family or friends. This list is not a comprehensive list of all aged care services, it has been provided to help you identify specialist services or related services.
  • Where possible, contact details and website have been provided. Where no phone number is provided please check your local community telephone directory for the organisation you are looking for in your area.
  • The following services in your State/Territory can provide information about options and assist you with referrals to appropriate services.
